Naco Sanitary District
Position Summary
The Naco Sanitary District is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to manage and maintain our technology infrastructure. This is a hands-on role critical to the daily operations and long-term success of the District. The ideal candidate will be a versatile problem-solver who can manage everything from network security and maintenance to providing end-user support and documenting IT processes.
A key component of this role involves providing technical support for District meetings, including managing video conferencing systems and producing clear, accurate minutes.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Support:
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the District’s network, servers, workstations, and software applications. Knowledge of WordPress and Google Workspace support.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure. This includes backups and archives.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with district policies.
Provide technical support and training to staff on hardware, software, and best practices.
Manage hardware and software inventory, and assist with IT budgeting and procurement.
Meeting & Collaboration Support:
Set up, configure, and provide live technical support for video conferences using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and others.
Ensure meeting technology (cameras, microphones, displays) is fully operational and troubleshoot any issues in real-time.
Attend key District meetings, operate conferencing systems, and accurately capture discussions, action items, and decisions in formal meeting minutes.
Distribute finalized minutes and archive recordings and documents as required.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a system administration or similar IT support role.
Proven experience with Microsoft administration.
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and professional business documents, with a keen attention to detail.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting video conferencing solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator).
Previous experience in a public sector or utility environment.
Formal training or proven experience in minute-taking for official meetings.
